Welcome to IMPACT 2024 - A congregation of medical professionals who share a passion for writing, peer reviewing and editing medical journals. After the overwhelming success of IMPACT 2023, MJAFI is back this year with IMPACT 2024 !! Redesigned and presented in a different avatar, IMPACT 2024 will be held from 20-22 Sep 2024.
Brought to you by the Medical Journal Armed Forces India based in AFMC, Pune ; the conference will bring together a unique experience of hands-on learning with the experts in the field of medical writing, reviewing and editing. The conference will have extensive interactive sessions and knowledge sharing by experts in the field of medical publishing.
Prior registration is compulsory for attending IMPACT 2024. Limited slots are available. Registration enables the delegate to participate in all sessions and interactive workshops.

Professor and Head, Department of Community Medicine, Dr DY Patil Medical College, Pune · Medical Officer/Epidemiologist
Dr Cariappa is an ex- military Public Health Specialist with a personal passion for sustainable health promotion among people, in co-existence with their environment.
He is an alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India, with a MD degree from the University of Poona. He has received Fellowship training in HIV / AIDS in the USA and is an active member of the Indian Public Health Association and the Indian Society of Malaria and Communicable Diseases. He has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Community Medicine at AFMC Pune and also at the Army College of Medical Sciences New Delhi. He has been on the Visiting Faculty at the University of Botswana at Gaborone, the IISER, Pune, for the MUHS- MPH program and with Govt Medical College Jodhpur. His areas of interest and expertise in Public Health are Mass Gathering Medicine, Environmental Medicine, Food Safety, Health and Behaviour Change Communication.
After 26 years of service in the Indian Armed Forces Medical Services, he is now with https://deltazuluconsultancy.com/ and works in an advisory capacity for the corporate sector, in translating technological advances to Health, Environmental Health, Health Safety, Health Education and Training. He is also consulting with the Tata Trusts for their Health Initiatives philanthropic projects, as a Technical Advisor.
